Hey everyone, This is not the kind of video I wanted to make, but it’s important. We’ve had to ban livestreaming in our store due to theft—and not just any theft. Someone was taking requests during a TikTok livestream on what to steal, including a crested gecko, reptile décor, and other animals. We only found out because a customer sent us screenshots of the livestream. And this isn’t the first time—we once had a spiderling stolen right in front of us while helping another customer. Owning a small business is already hard, and theft like this makes it even harder. It’s heartbreaking when we put everything into caring for these animals, only for someone to walk away with them.
